When Lee Robinson completed his service with the Army, like many of his former friends and colleagues, he had no idea what direction his life would take upon returning to ‘Civvy Street’. Re-patriation projects and settlement programs didn’t quite meet the mark, the option of working abroad having spent years missing family was unappealing, and a number of jobs required extensive re-training. So Lee decided to make use of the professional skills, qualifications and experience he had gained in serving the country and became his own boss.
Handy Hero For Hire was established with the aim of giving highly skilled, dedicated and trustworthy ex-forces an independent job that allowed them to adapt to civilian life. The organisation supports ex-military personnel whilst providing a reliable service to both commercial and domestic clients.
The heroes are independent and appreciate working locally to their home whilst utilising their skills from years in the forces. Each hero has their own specialty from fitting kitchens, bathrooms, electrics, guttering, carpentry, fencing and plumbing, to keeping up the garden. It also gives our clients the chance to not only hire a reliable and trustworthy service, but to give something back to those that have served Queen and country.
